Meet Abby Founder

I'm Abby, the founder of Luna Gray and a proud mummy to two wonderful boys.

My Luna Gray story started back in 2016 when I first fell pregnant. I had a full-time job in London and enjoyed exercising regularly - normally to burn off the pounds from overindulging during the weekend.

After the initial celebrations of finding out I would be a mummy for the first time, I decided I didn’t want to use my pregnancy as an excuse not to continue exercising because I knew that it was important to stay fit and strong for my impending labour *gulp*.

I quickly came to realise that it wasn’t my lack of motivation but my lack of choice in leggings that proved the hardest hurdle to overcome. As my pregnancy developed, I became increasingly uncomfortable. I found myself either exercising in awkward shaped leggings or being forced to buy sizes I wouldn’t normally, just so my bump would fit into them.

At a time when your world can be changing so quickly, exercise can provide a welcome break to take your mind off things. It wasn't right that women could be turned off exercising or not feel entirely comfortable doing it, just because of a lack of appropriate clothing.

A few months later I became a mummy and forgot all about it. Fast forward to the beginning of 2019 and I fell pregnant once again. Faced with the exact same issues I decided it was time to do something!

I wanted to design a legging that was comfortable, inspired confidence and gave women a sense of control both during and after pregnancy.

In 2020, Luna Gray was born.
